Tório Barbosa is the founder of AI Agro, a smart-agriculture project that integrates field sensors, IoT infrastructure and autonomous AI agents to turn raw agricultural data into practical information for day-to-day decisions. At AI Agro he leads the system architecture, the data-interpretation models, the hardware–software integration and the design of the grower experience — indicators, alerts and trends delivered straight to WhatsApp, with no dashboard to learn.
The project has been operating in the field since 2025, with stations installed on a center pivot, coffee, an orchard and sorghum in Minas Gerais and Goiás, Brazil, in partnership with Uniube and local growers. The reports from that work are published in the field-studies section of this site and are the basis for the blog articles.
Before AI Agro, Tório built a 20-year career in marketing and operations for the education sector. He co-founded Mkt4Edu, an agency recognized as a HubSpot Elite Partner, and 4RevOps, a Revenue Operations consultancy, serving 1,000+ clients across Brazil, the United States, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. He lives in Dubai.
